A Compact Village House
House Leonidas is suited to couples, solo travellers, or a small party of up to three guests. It sits in Mavrikiano, close to House Margarita and House Argyro, which makes it useful when guests are travelling together but want separate sleeping space.
The Interior Layout
A few stone steps opposite To Rakadiko tou Kamari lead to House Leonidas. The entrance is reached on the right, beside a bougainvillea plant.
On entering the house, the fireplace is on the left, with a built-in stone sofa beside it. The bathroom is set further inside, to the upper right of the living space. Ahead is the kitchen table, while the small kitchen area sits to the right, tucked beneath the internal wooden stair.
The wooden stair leads first to the ontas, the traditional raised sleeping area, where there is one single bed. A step further up is the main bedroom, with direct views toward the sea.
Balcony And View
From the main bedroom, guests step out to the private sea-view balcony. The balcony has a wooden table, barbecue, sink, and small fridge, making it useful for simple outdoor meals or an evening drink overlooking Elounda Bay.
Access And Setting
Shared private guest parking is about 70 m away, with space for up to five cars in total; if the shared parking area is full, guests can usually park for free around the village. The house is not step-free, and guests should expect stone steps from the village path to the entrance plus internal wooden stairs inside.
