Almond Tree Villa is a traditional five-bedroom Cretan villa in Vrouchas, above Plaka and Elounda, with space for up to 10 guests. It suits families or groups who want one base for the whole stay, with room to cook, sit around the table, use the pool, and step out to the reed-shaded balconies during the day.
230 m² · Sleeps 10 · 5 bedrooms · 2 bathrooms · Private pool, 9 m × 4 m · Reed-shaded balconies · Sea views
Villa Layout
The villa is arranged across stepped levels, so the rooms do not all sit on one flat floor. On the ground floor, the entrance leads into the main living room, with two sofas, a fireplace, and a stone sofa below the window. A few steps higher, a half Cretan stone arch frames a monastery-style wooden table. A few steps beyond that is the main kitchen.
This level also has a bathroom and the first double bedroom, where the bed is built in stone. Upstairs, there is a second living area with a mini kitchen, a fireplace, and a table for six. From here, the villa connects to one twin bedroom, two upper double bedrooms with reed-shaded balcony areas, and a second twin bedroom in the ontas, reached by wooden steps.
Inside the Villa
Inside, Almond Tree Villa feels like an older Cretan home that has kept its stone, wood, fireplaces, and small changes in level. The rooms are not arranged in a straight line, which gives a group more than one place to sit, eat, or spend a quieter moment away from the main living area.
The two upper double bedrooms look toward the Cretan Sea, olive groves, garden, pool, and mountains. The ontas looks inward toward Vrouchas village, so that sleeping area has a more tucked-away village feel.
Outdoor Living
The private pool measures 9 m × 4 m and sits within the garden area. Around it there is space for sunbeds, outdoor meals, and time at the villa between drives to Plaka, Elounda, and the coast.
The outdoor kitchen and barbecue make group meals easier. The garden, pool area, and reed-shaded balconies are the main outdoor spaces, with views toward the Cretan Sea, olive groves, mountains, and the village setting of Vrouchas.
Location
Almond Tree Villa is in Vrouchas, a hillside village above Plaka and Elounda. The setting is quieter than the coast, with Plaka, Elounda, and the shoreline reached by car.
Free public road parking is available about 30 metres from the house. The route to the villa includes village terrain and steps, so arrival should use the villa-specific map and instructions.
Suitability
Almond Tree Villa suits families or groups who want to stay together in one traditional villa rather than split across separate houses. It works best for guests who plan to use the outdoor areas, cook some meals at home, and are comfortable with a quieter village setting.
It is not the right choice for guests who need step-free access or a simple single-level layout. The villa has internal stairs, stepped levels, and several steps from parking to the entrance.
